Where’s WILLWAY? At the Chicago Healthcare Innovation Summit!

Hosted by MATTER and a collaboration between, Rush University and University of Michigan, this regional gathering didn’t disappoint! Top industry disruptors and forward thinking minds attended as novel technologies, innovative solutions and positive healthcare outcomes were discussed among leading industry professionals. With a common goal and passion for patients, these elite group of change agents are breaking barriers, while building new relationships for the future. Each of these pioneers gave us a peek into what healthcare innovation continues to have in store for us. Keynote speakers shared their insights and solutions to current marketplace challenges. Among all of these talented organizations, a number of them resonated with me in terms of exciting advancements which are occurring today.

Specifically, a few of those organizations include, XSELL Technologies (Matt Coughlin, Founder & CEO), a “Leapfrog Digital Dialogue (DiDi) and engagement capabilities that enable your brand to bring to life personalized interventions that meet customer needs, build loyalty, and drive revenue and margin”. Color Genomics (Tony Wang, Chief Operating Officer) is “a health service that helps you understand your genetic risk for common hereditary cancers and heart conditions, and use this knowledge to create a personalized healthcare plan”. Lastly, Zipongo (Dr. Chad Malone, Chief Medical Informatics Officer), also brought a charismatic discussion with respect to a digital nutrition platform, “that takes the guesswork out of healthy eating with personalized meal recommendations based on bio-metrics and food preferences”.  A special thanks to MATTER (Steve Collens, CEO), as one of Chicago’s leading healthcare incubators, fostering these collaborations continues to be a driving force behind successful innovation, reaching patient needs.
